T. Dennis Connally

1939 – 2023

T. Dennis Connally married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Carnes, in 1957. Elaine taught school while Dennis continued his education at Emory University, Atlanta, GA where he graduated with a BBA degree in 1962. After graduation, Dennis became the Controller of an International Garment Manufacturing Company. After making a career and lifelong friendships at the manufacturing company, Dennis then went on to form a partnership with Marvin Pechter and operated as Connally, Pechter and Company CPAs in the Vinings area of Atlanta for 20 years. Connally, Pechter and Company CPAs grew to 80 employees with a branch office in Conyers, GA.

In 1989, Dennis and Elaine moved back home to Douglasville and T. Dennis Connally Consultant P.C. opened its doors on Main Street (presently known as Broad Street). It speaks volumes about his character that many of the Connally Pechter clients decided to travel those extra miles to Douglasville to continue their business with Dennis. T. Dennis Connally Consultant P.C. relocated to the current location in the historic building at 8483 Campbellton Street on May 5, 1990.

Dennis brought in a young intern from the University of West Georgia in March of 2013. In a time when accounting firms were taking on unpaid interns, Dennis, a man who understood the value of hard work and dedication to his trade, insisted that everyone who worked for him deserved compensation. After graduation, the intern, Andrew Jordan, went to work for the State of Georgia as an auditor, until he and his wife decided to move home to Douglasville.

Fast forward to January 2017, Andrew became his partner, and the name of the company was officially changed to Connally, Jordan & Associates, P.C. Dennis continued working passionately and served his clients and community well until his passing on March 24, 2023. Dennis cultivated a culture of professionalism and his legacy is carried on through the firm by our team of proficient CPAs and accountants that he assembled.
